On the outskirts of the Brazilian metropolis, in the shade of the lush vegetation of Tijuca National Park, the mysterious macumba rituals take place. Macumba originates from the African Bantu language and covers religious practices that unite pagan traditions of African origin with elements of popular Christianity and Brazilian culture. Contrary to Western beliefs, macumba is not necessarily negative – on the contrary, most of these ritual acts seek to promote protection, health, prosperity, luck and well-being.

MANGOMACUMBA is the first fragrance in the OSCURATACOLLECTION by Spiritica – an extract de parfum with a whopping 35% fragrance concentration. The scent opens with an explosion of tropical joy: juicy, realistic mango merges with sharp, citrusy notes of lime and pineapple, while a touch of peppermint adds a refreshing, ozonic breeze.

In the heart we find a bloody and juicy contrast – notes of iron and exotic flowers bring to mind the places, tools and sacrifices of rituals. Slowly the fragrance delves deeper into the darkness, where the ritual becomes sensual: tobacco absolute of the highest quality, dark and luxurious ebony oil and warm, wild red earth. These dark elements are softened by velvety, milky notes, which provide a comforting finish.
