I have all these memories of you.
I no longer know my own memories...
I'm trying to teach them back.
I'm trying to understand you.
Past, present & future.
You can lie to anyone – but not to yourself.
Today I remembered cycles.
I saw kids on their bikes near cars whizzing by. Exhaust blew on candy floss.
Fun circus, absurd circle. It reminds me of knowing sweetness when I was their age. Strawberry jam and raspberry yogurt. It was all so good, but I couldn't know it.
Then a metallic scream interrupted it all. The abrupt braking of youth. Hot, torn rubber left marks for all to see. Born of gasoline in a backseat.
It was all so fast and noisy, and the car couldn't reverse.
Now I'm parked at a hospital. Hope they have something sweet in store for me.
