Nektar started with a trip to Wadi Darbat in southern Oman, where the monsoon turns the desert green. Perfumer Pierre Guéros, who worked in Dubai for years, found the sidr tree there, whose flowers give one of the most prized honeys in the Middle East. Nektar is his portrait of that honey and the landscape around it.

Clary sage, bergamot, grapefruit, elemi and red berries keep the opening bright. Then the honey arrives, rich but never sticky, with leather, frankincense, davana and cinnamon bark. Tonka, Madagascan vanilla, vetiver, cedar and patchouli ground it. Honey with an edge, more golden and leathery than dessert.
