Zoologist was founded in Toronto with one of the most specific and most successfully executed, creative premises in niche perfumery: every fragrance is a portrait of an animal. Not metaphorically. Each release is a serious olfactory study of a creature — its environment, its biology, what it might smell like to be near it or to be it.

Hummingbird is tropical nectar and tropical heat. Camel is dry air, leather, and dust. Tyrannosaurus Rex is something primal and genuinely prehistoric-feeling. The science behind each composition is real, but the fragrances aren't academic exercises  they're among the most imaginative and technically accomplished releases in contemporary niche perfumery.
