Jasmine Freak is Room 1015 at its most tropical and unrestrained. The opening hits immediately mango, sweet orange, black currant, and black pepper, juicy and vivid before a heart of Egyptian jasmine, Indian tuberose, and ylang ylang takes over and slows everything down. The florals here are not polished or restrained. They're lush, slightly indolic, and pushed far enough that "white floral" doesn't quite cover it. The base of musk and cashmere wood gives it a warm, skin-close finish that keeps it from floating away.
Perfumer Jérôme di Marino built something genuinely addictive here. The mango-ylang ylang combination in particular is the kind of thing you keep returning to exotic without being conceptual.
For warm skin, warm weather, or anyone who finds most florals too timid.
