It opens with lavender, freesia, and pink pepper lighter than you'd expect before clary sage and iris push things in a more complex, slightly metallic direction. The base is where it fully reveals itself: incense, myrrh, ambroxan, and musk, smoky and unhurried, the kind of base note that stays close to skin for hours.
Perfumer Serge de Oliveira captures something specific here: the inside of a room where incense has been burning for a long time. Not aggressive, not spiritual in an obvious way just permeated.
