Sweet Leaf is named after the Black Sabbath song and the label borrows the logo to match. The brief is exactly what it looks like: a cannabis fragrance rooted in 1970s counterculture, created by Serge de Oliveira for a house that doesn't shy away from difficult materials.
The opening is grapefruit and eucalyptus, bright and slightly medicinal, before a cannabis accord green and resinous rather than smoked takes over in the heart. Angelica root and turpentine give it a balsamic, almost mountainous quality. The base of jasmine, cashmeran wood, and patchouli brings warmth and some softness without blurring the fragrance's distinctly herbal character.
