Wavechild is Room 1015's tribute to surf culture, specifically Huntington Beach, the salt air, the sun-baked skin, the particular smell of someone who's spent the day in the ocean and hasn't quite dried off. The fragrance opens with orange, watermelon, and coconut, bright and slightly sweet, before settling into orientalgris and a salted, skin-close warmth that makes it feel like suntan lotion made by a perfumer rather than a cosmetics brand.
It's minimalist by Room 1015 standards. No leather, no smoke, no counterculture provocation, just a well-executed summer-skin fantasy with enough quality in the materials to separate it from the category it superficially resembles.
